Richard (Rick) Harris. I have been playing with photographic toys, I mean tools, for over 30 years. I currently uses a Nikon D50 and D70 and have fully embraced the digital age of cameras. I am the sole proprietor and Master Crayon Keeper of a small business I founded in Redmond, Washington: "EsoteRick Arts." In addition to spending great amounts of time and money recording beauty and posterity with a camera I also work a "real" job, play in garage band, write and record music, practice Qi Gong with the venerable Sifu Wang; and enjoy my wife, daughter and grandaughter. Formal education was in Theology, Psychology, Philosophy and Near Eastern Language and Literature. I have a Bachelor of Theology degree from Grace College as well as a Master of Arts degree in Religous Studies from Seattle Pacific University. For additional adventures I spent two years of post graduate studies in Hebrew at the University of Minnesota as well as two years at Bethel Seminary with an emphasis in Hebrew poetry.
My current photographic interests are photography of the sacred, transcending boundaries and barriers of all religions and cultures. You'll find I mostly take photographs of material matter, and very few of humans. It's not that I don't like to photograph humans, but my camera prefers the more tangible objects that don't require a models release .
